Foley Planning Commission To Review 101-Home Subdivision Expansion
Joint work session on April 15 will also review plans for a storage facility and bank site

Foley, Ala. – (OBA) – At its April meeting, the Foley Planning Commission will consider preliminary approval for three phases of a current subdivision. In all, 101 single-family homes are planned in the three phases. Live Oak Village is located south of Underwood Road and west of North Cedar Street.
The commission will consider the plans at a joint work/regular session on April 15 at 4 p.m. in council chambers at City Hall.

Developers are seeking approval for phases four, five, and seven, with 54 planned for phase four, 36 in phase five, and 11 in phase seven. The western boundary of the complex borders the Foley Municipal Airport. Phase seven abuts Underwood Road, and phases four and five are in the middle of the current subdivision.
During the joint work/regular session, the commission will also discuss:
- A site plan for Gulf Self Storage at 3501 S. McKenzie St., or south of the Juniper Street/McKenzie Street intersection. Staff will recommend approval with conditions, including planting trees and shrubs, a landscaping buffer, and a fire hydrant within 100 feet of the fire department’s sprinkler system connection, among others.
- Approving a site plan for United Bank located at 516 S. McKenzie St., the staff will recommend approval with conditions, including terms to remove a temporary structure once the permanent building is completed.
