Gulf Shores, Ala. — (OBA) —  Gulf Shores police officers arrested eight people Wednesday after an armed robbery at a home in the 5500 block of Lemon Tree Lane. The suspects—six adults and two juvenile males—face multiple felony charges. Officers located the suspect vehicle within one minute of responding to the call. None of those arrested are Gulf Shores residents.

On July 22, 2026, at approximately 10:56 a.m., officers responded to a report of an armed robbery on Lemon Tree Lane. At 10:57 a.m., officers spotted the suspect vehicle on Waterway West and detained several individuals. Detectives from the Criminal Investigation Division then responded to conduct interviews, collect evidence, and review Flock camera footage.

Investigators determined that on the evening of July 21, 2026, a disturbance involving two groups had occurred at the victim's residence. During the confrontation, firearms were displayed. The following morning, a group of armed males linked to the earlier disturbance returned to the residence.

While inside the home, the group threatened the occupants with guns and stole a pistol. Evidence collected from the suspect vehicle included five firearms, one of which had been reported stolen from Montgomery. The victim's firearm was also recovered.

The eight individuals were charged with multiple felony offenses. The charges include Robbery in the First Degree, Possession of Stolen Property in the Second Degree, Receiving Stolen Property in the Second Degree, Certain Persons Forbidden to Possess a Firearm, Menacing, and Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance.

Those arrested include:

• Jayden Chase Benoit, 18 years of age, Elton, Louisiana.
• Marlo Javeion Harris, 18 years of age, Montgomery, Alabama.
• Jeremiah Le Aie Nickson, 18 years of age, Montgomery, Alabama.
• Kavion Raynard Tyus, 18 years of age, Autaugaville, Alabama.
• Cameron Marcus Wright, 18 years of age, Prattville, Alabama.
• Markel Kashon Lansden, 18 years of age, La Fayette, Georgia.
• Two juvenile males.

The individuals arrested were in the area due to their affiliation with the Alabama Rays Football Team. All suspects remain in custody and will be transferred to the Baldwin County Sheriff's Office.

The Gulf Shores Police Department credited alert residents with helping officers respond quickly. "The Gulf Shores Police Department extends its appreciation to our residents who promptly reported suspicious activity, enabling officers to respond swiftly and apprehend the individuals before further harm occurred," the department stated.

Investigators also noted the role technology played in the case. "The use of Flock camera technology continues to enhance investigative capabilities and support the rapid resolution of criminal activity," officials said.
