The city is not contributing money to help pay for the shows.

“We’re anticipating next Monday (June 8),” Wharf General Manager Jim Bibby said. “The pyro is ready to shoot whenever we call ‘em and tell ‘em. We’re just excited again to add the name and title.”

Bibby also told the council that several improvements have been made to the equipment used to put on nightly light shows on Main Street at The Wharf.

“We actually have added four lasers to it and we’ve redone all those globes you saw hanging,” Bibby said. “There were 56 of them. We’ve replaced all of those and it’s a cleaner look. One of the techs works at a big park in south Florida said we had some of the best equipment even better than that park had.”
