BIKER DAD: Angel Ride benefits kids with special needs

FAIRHOPE, Ala. (WKRG) - Bikers will be on the hunt in Baldwin County on Saturday. They'll be on the Angel Ride scavenger hunt. The Angel Ride is an annual fundraiser for special needs kids in Baldwin County. Registration for the ride starts at 10:30 Saturday morning at American Legion Post 199 in Fairhope. After the ride, there's a party all day into the evening with LIVE music food trucks and more. The party is open to the public for a $5 donation. The ride is $35. Motorcyclist airlifted following crash involving City of Gulf Shores truck

GULF SHORES, Ala. (WKRG) -- A motorcyclist has been airlifted following a crash involving a City of Gulf Shores truck. The crash happened around 2 p.m. near the intersection of Fort Morgan Road and Callaway Road. The driver of the city truck was not hurt in the crash. Police have not identified anyone involved in the crash.

Obituary | Capt. Carl Marvin (Pete) Peterson, II of Orange Beach

He then moved with his family to Orange Beach, AL to enjoy retired life. Pete volunteered his time serving on the Variance Board for The City of Orange Beach and enjoyed going to City Council meetings. Pete worked hard daily on various projects including vehicles, boats and airplanes. He enjoyed sailing, adventures, traveling, reading, and spending time with family and friends. He was very proud of his children and his granddaughter Eleanor. He loved to talk with others and tell great stories of his time in the Navy. He also enjoyed spending time with special military friends in HAL3and HS-6 DET 1. Pete was loved and admired by all who knew him.

Pinson Valley High School clubs donate to Molly’s Patrol – Orange Beach Surf Rescue

On a sunny April morning about two dozen Birmingham-area students from Pinson Valley High School stood on the beach as a check was presented to Tommy and Becky Bryant to go toward Molly’s Patrol, the beach safety arm of the Orange Beach Fire Department named after the Bryants’ daughter.

Fifth person dies as result of head-on crash on I-10 – al.com

A fifth person has died as a result of a fiery head-on crash that happened Monday on I-10 as a driver fled law enforcement pursuit. According to information provided by the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, 81-year-old Joseph L. Andrews of St. Simons Island, Ga., died Thursday in a Mobile hospital. ALEA said confirmation had been provided by the Department of Forensic Sciences.
