Health alert: AL Health Dept. issues Perdido Pass swim warning

December 06, 2018
The Health Department issues public swimming advisory for the waters of  Perdido Pass at the Florida Point Access: The Alabama Department of Public Health (ADPH) advises the public that two recent successive tests of swimming water quality at this location were poor. Swimming in this area may lead to an increased risk of illness. Monitoring will continue and the advisory will be lifted once bacteria values fall below the Environmental Protection Agency's threshold of 104 enterococcus organisms per 100 milliliters for marine water.

Perdido Pass during TS Gordon

Thank you to all who watched our coverage of TS Gordon and were concerned for our safety. Randy and I are safe and dry (finally) although some of the equipment is still a little soggy. Hopefully, that will be the last tropical anything we have to deal with for a while.ICYMI, this live shot from Perdido Pass Tuesday night around 10 o'clock kind of sums up what conditions were like including Randy's editorial comments at the end of the clip.
