PENSACOLA , Fla. (WEAR-TV) — On Tuesday, there was a close call at the Blue Angels demonstration practice when two planes made contact on Tuesday. According to Lt. Michelle Tucker, a Navy spokesperson, the Blue Angels were performing the "Diamond 360" maneuver when the incident occurred.

PENSACOLA BEACH, Fla. (WEAR-TV) — With the Gulf Coast on high alert due to Tropical Storm Barry, the status of the Blue Angel Air Show is in question. The show is still scheduled to go on as usual as event organizers are keeping an eye on the weather. The pilots are prepared to preform in the rain.

Blue Angels to fly a limited performance for Friday and Saturday’s air shows | WEAR

PENSACOLA BEACH, Fla. (WEAR) — The U.S. Navy Blue Angels will attempt to perform a limited show for Friday and Saturday’s Pensacola Beach Air Show as long as weather and winds are within their limits. The civilian acts set to fly as an opening act for the Blues have been canceled for Friday and Saturday due to tropical-storm-force winds and waves, coupled with the lack of water rescue assets.

Arrest in stolen truck incident

May 10, 2019 - Foley, AL - (OBA®) - Late yesterday afternoon, Elberta PD was able to locate William McGinley in the Miflin Community.  He was still in the white pickup that was later confirmed to be stolen from the City of Foley within the last few days.  McGinley once again took off and drove into Florida. Officers did not pursue into Florida because his identity was already known.

America’s Cup sailboat American Magic in Pensacola for winter training

New York Yacht Club American Magic, U.S. Challenger for the 36th America’s Cup, today announced that the Port of Pensacola will serve as the team’s winter training base in late 2018 and early 2019. The team was formed in 2017 to win the America’s Cup, the highest prize in sailing and the oldest trophy in international sports.
