Fire that destroyed Lillian restaurant under investigation, financial toll hits owners hard | fox10tv.com

LILLIAN, Ala. (WALA) - Four days after a fire destroyed a well-known Lillian restaurant, the building's owner says he may eventually rebuild a smaller building. Tim Lett, who built the wood building on Highway 98 over the course of 18 years, says the fire cost him more than $1 million. The owner of the restaurant, who was considering buying the building, tells FOX10 News they are struggling financially because of the fire.

BREAKING: Multiple agencies respond to a fire at Lillian restaurant

March 15, 2019
UPDATE: (6:50 a.m.) According to Lillian Fire Department Chief Jim Ellis, the restaurant is a total loss. Agecies from across Baldwin County, including Daphne, Fairhope, Foley, and Magnolia Springs all assisted with the fire. No one was inside at the time of the fire, which started in the kitchen. Crews are expected to be investigating throughout the day.

UPDATE: Deadly crash involving pedestrian in Baldwin County

LILLIAN, Ala. (WKRG) -- Alabama State Troopers are investigating a deadly crash involving a car and a pedestrian in Lillian Thursday evening. Troopers say 35-year-old Stephen Randall Brannan of Elberta was trying to cross US 98 at the intersection of South Santa Piedro Street when he was hit by a 2007 Ford F-150.

The debate has again become an American debate, as a huge caravan of these migrants continues to travel north across Mexico and possibly into the United States. The 7,000 migrants are now a staggering number for any country to process.

Baldwin County teen killed in traffic accident near Perdido Beach | AL.com

A Baldwin County teenager was killed over the weekend after her vehicle was involved in an accident. Emily Marie Ellis, 18, of Lillian was traveling south on Soldiers Creek Road near to Perdido Beach when her 2009 Toyota 4-Runner left the roadway and struck a tree, according to a Alabama Law Enforcement Press Release.

(WKRG) -- Convicted murderer Mary Rice has begun her life sentence in Florida after being convicted last week in the murder spree with Billy Boyette that spanned three states and resulted in the murders of four women. But, her legal battles aren't over. She will still be tried in Baldwin County for the murder of Peggy Broz. The question is, when?
