10th Annual Bama Coast Cruise returns April 26th & 27th

March 13, 2019 - Orange Beach, AL - (OBA®) - Bama Coast Cruise announces its return to Orange Beach!  This car show has proven to be immensely popular with local residents, tourists and serious car enthusiasts.  It will showcase the absolute finest in automotive customized, modified and restored vehicles April 26 & 27, 2019.  Over 850 vehicles are expected to be at The Wharf in Orange Beach, for the most unique automotive event the Alabama Gulf Coast has ever seen.

Ballyhoo Fine Arts Festival 2019 | Happening Here |

The Ballyhoo Festival is a celebration of art and culture. In its fifth year, this event has grown tremendously in size and attendance. It features 60 of the best artists in the Southeast as well as great bands on the Ballyhoo Performance Stage. The Poarch Creek Indians will be performing original tribal dance in ceremonial regalia at Noon and a 3:00 p.m. The Ballyhoo Train will provide rides around the festival grounds for children who will also enjoy all the children’s art tents. There will be great seafood by Acme Oyster House and other great vendors. This family friendly event showcases the fun loving spirit of the residents of Coastal Alabama.

5th Annual Zydeco & Crawfish Festival coming April 20

February 6, 2019 - Gulf Shores, AL - (OBA®) - The Waterway Village Zydeco and Crawfish Festival boils up a beaucoup of fun on Saturday, April 20 in Gulf Shores.  Locals and visitors are invited to sink their teeth into hot, juicy crawfish throughout the day while dancing to the infectious rhythms of some of the best Zydeco bands from around the South.  There will be arts and crafts vendors and children's activities.

A Night on the Wild Side event to be held March 9th

February 5, 2019 - Gulf Shores, AL - (OBA®) - The Second Annual “A NIGHT ON THE WILD SIDE” is scheduled for March 9th, 2019 at the SaltAir A
viation Center, Jack Edwards Airport from 6:30-10:00 p.m. The “wildest” fundraiser of the year, the Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo's jungle inspired affair offers a rare opportunity for guests to experience up-close encounters with zoo animals while enjoying an evening of culinary treats, live music, and dancing in an unique setting.

25th Annual Flora-Bama Chili Cook-Off Feb. 2 – Mullet Wrapper

Let the chopping begin. The 25th Annual Flora-Bama Super Bowl Chili Cook-Off is set for Feb. 2, Super Bowl Saturday. Teams of three can register to work their chili wizardry to win with their version of the best chili and win cash prizes in several divisions. If you don’t want to cook, come by, sample the wide variety of dishes and help raise funds for The American Cancer Society and Relay for Life. Cooking begins at 10 a.m., and all you can eat tasting tickets will be sold for $20. The tasting begins at noon.

FAIRHOPE, Ala. (WKRG) - Welcome to WKRG's "Mark Your Calendar" for Tuesday, January 22nd, 2019. Today, John Nodar welcomes Joe Fuselli and Sarah J. David Fuselli.  We are talking about A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE. The play will be performed throughout February at Theatre 98 in Fairhope, Alabama.  Stanley Kowalski is played by Joe Fuselli and Stella Kowalski is played by Sarah J. David Fuselli.

Supermoon lunar eclipse January 20-21 | Tonight | EarthSky

January 20-21, 2019 – the full moon not only presents the first lunar eclipse of 2019 but also the year’s first supermoon. This will be the last total lunar eclipse to grace Earth’s sky until May 26, 2021. This total eclipse of the moon lasts for somewhat more than one hour, and is preceded and followed by a partial umbral eclipse, each time persisting for over an hour. The whole umbral eclipse from start to finish has a duration of a little more than 3 1/3 hours, and can be viewed from North and South America, Greenland, Iceland, Europe, northern and western Africa plus the Arctic regions of the globe.

The 30th Annual Jubilee Festival of Arts is set to attract thousands to the oak-lined Main Street of Daphne, Alabama September 29th and 30th. Art, music & seafood meet southern charm at this annual festival set along the Eastern Shore of Mobile Bay. The Eastern Shore Chamber of Commerce hosts this family-friendly festival each year in coordination with the City of Daphne.
