For 10 years Hangout Music Festival has been hosting a luxury event on the beaches of Alabama -- a feat that only seems more impressive following the disastrous Fyre Festival and the continuing coverage that has surrounded it. Hangout was started by entrepreneurs and restaurant owners Shaul and Lilly Zislin who followed through on a vision of a luxury festival that differed from the experiences they were having at festivals back in 2009.

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WKRG) -- Bay Minette Native Kirk Jay has no shortage of business following his success on the national singing competition 'The Voice.' "I'm super, super busy now, and I mean, thank God for that," Jay told News 5 when we traveled up to Montgomery to catch up with him. "I mean I went from doing open mics to national TV."

Classical Guitarist Peter Fletcher Comes to the Gulf Coast! | fox10tv.com

Peter Fletcher stopped by the studio this morning to play before his big event on the night of February 5, 2019. He played a classical piece that was just a taste of his performance that will be in Gulf Shores. The concert will benefit the Coastal Ballet Company, a non-profit organization that enhances the physical, emotional, and mental development of children through the art of ballet.

Hall of Famer Don Schlitz plays Flora-Bama show on Feb. 7 – Mullet Wrapper

The Flora-Bama, in conjunction with the Frank Brown International Songwriters Festival, will present an evening with megahit songwriter Don Schlitz on Thursday, February 7 at 6 p.m. in the Flora-Bama Main Room. Tickets are $20 at the door (first come – first serve) for the Country Music Hall of Fame inductee.

Alabama band’s 50th anniversary tour coming to Birmingham, Orange Beach | al.com

The country band’s 50th anniversary tour will include two shows in Alabama, promoter Red Mountain Entertainment announced today. Alabama is set to perform on Oct. 4 in Birmingham, at the Legacy Arena at the BJCC, and on May 9 in Orange Beach, at The Wharf Amphitheater. Show time is 7 p.m. in Birmingham, 7:30 p.m. in Orange Beach. The Charlie Daniels Band will be the opening act at both concerts.

On March 28, the Red Clay Strays kick off the Music at Meyer Park series. From rural south Alabama, the Red Clay Strays claim their unique sound with a humble confidence that can only come from their upbringing. This band reminds you of southern music’s heyday and gives you hope that it may not have lost its way after all. Their wide range of influences create a combined style of the country music and southern rock we’ve all been waiting for. Lead Singer, Brandon Coleman, with vocals that bring to mind young Elvis, is the heart of their show along with Drew Nix on rhythm guitar, Zach Rishel on lead, Andrew Bishop on bass and John Hall on drums.
