SPANISH FORT, Ala. .(WKRG) - Jimmy Buffett is getting back to his hometown roots as he prepares for Tuesday's concert at The Wharf. The Mobile native is playing there Tuesday. The Jimmy Buffett Facebook page posted pictures of Buffett in Spanish Fort on the water with Jimbo Meador, writing "No better guide in the Mobile - Tensaw Delta than Jimbo Meador. Master Naturalist, legendary waterman and storyteller....friend for over 40 years. today was a great day 🙏

The study by Auburn economics professor Dr. Keivan Deravi outlines how the three-day, premier entertainment event generates a $45 million annual economic impact on the area.

Hangout Fest offering single-day passes for $149 – al.com

Single-day passes will go on sale Wednesday morning for the 2019 Hangout Music Fest, organizers have announced. Festival director Sean O’Connell said Wednesday that the offering follows a decision by the Gulf Shores City Council on Monday to increase the attendance cap on the event to 45,000 people. Last year’s cap was 40,000, he said.

Alabama band’s 50th anniversary tour coming to Birmingham, Orange Beach | al.com

The country band’s 50th anniversary tour will include two shows in Alabama, promoter Red Mountain Entertainment announced today. Alabama is set to perform on Oct. 4 in Birmingham, at the Legacy Arena at the BJCC, and on May 9 in Orange Beach, at The Wharf Amphitheater. Show time is 7 p.m. in Birmingham, 7:30 p.m. in Orange Beach. The Charlie Daniels Band will be the opening act at both concerts.

On March 28, the Red Clay Strays kick off the Music at Meyer Park series. From rural south Alabama, the Red Clay Strays claim their unique sound with a humble confidence that can only come from their upbringing. This band reminds you of southern music’s heyday and gives you hope that it may not have lost its way after all. Their wide range of influences create a combined style of the country music and southern rock we’ve all been waiting for. Lead Singer, Brandon Coleman, with vocals that bring to mind young Elvis, is the heart of their show along with Drew Nix on rhythm guitar, Zach Rishel on lead, Andrew Bishop on bass and John Hall on drums.
