Lynn Langham makes music like southern smoke. With a buttery smooth, sensuous voice, and a sure, subtle musical sense all her own; she has forged a legacy of powerful, moving music that speaks to the heart. Lynn’s songs have been recorded by musical luminaries from every style, notably by Wynonna, Emmylou Harris and Rodney Crowell, Trisha Yearwood, Elizabeth Cook, and Carolyn Hester. Her song, “Old Yellow Moon”, (written with Hank DeVito) was the title cut of Harris and Crowell’s Grammy winning duet album in 2014. It was also named Album of the Year at the 2013 Americana Music Awards. Lynn has shared the stage with legends like John Prine, Asleep At The Wheel, Larry Gatlin, Leon Redbone and Cheech and Chong.

June 23, 2015

Monday evening on Royal Street, patrons sitting in front of Veet’s Bar & Grill enjoyed the breeze while wondering just when the persistent thunder of a looming storm would translate into rain. Inside, in an upstairs room, a different kind of rumble was building.”No kiss, no kiss goodbye,” sang Beverly Jo Scott, accompanied by Eric Erdman on acoustic guitar, Brandon White on electric guitar and John Keuler on bass. The sheet music in front of White served as notice that this, like the conditions outside, was merely a prelude to the real show.
